È il racconto della trasformazione di una falegnameria artistica, aperta nel 1860, un azienda internazionale protagonista del design italiano per le sue porte e sistemi divisori. Negli anni Sessanta del 900 determinante è stato l’incontro con architetti e designer dell’epoca con i quali i Lualdi sperimentano e realizzano serramenti e arredi per le case dell’alta borghesia milanese fino a inventare, con Luigi Caccia Dominioni, la porta lucida laccata in poliestere. Questo segna la svolta industriale dell’azienda seguita, negli anni Ottanta, dall’avvio del processo di internazionalizzazione favorito dagli architetti Carl Magnusson, design director di Knoll, ed Emanuela Frattini. Da allora in continuo sviluppo, accompagnato dai progettisti di oggi. Ripercorriamo la storia con i protagonisti e li ascoltiamo discorrere sul futuro della porta, nell’epoca dei sistemi intelligenti, fra manifattura artigiana, sperimentazione tecnologica e nuove visioni di progetto
It’s the story of the transformation of an artistic carpentry, opened in 1860, an international company protagonist of Italian design for its doors and separating systems. In the Seventies occurred the determining meeting with architects and designers of the time with whom The Lauldis collaborated to experiment and realised windows and furnish for the houses of the bourgeoisie of Milano, inventing with Luigi Caccia Dominioni, the glossy lacquered door in polyester. This marks the industrial turn of the company followed, in the 80s, from the start of the process of internationalisation fostered by the architect Carl Magnusson, design director of Knoll, and Emanuela Frattini. In that precise moment started a continuous development, accompanied by today’s designers.
